National Competition
Contestants may perform a Front or Back T. Contestants may wear pageant attire, glitzy flower girl’s dress and evening gown. Scoring criteria will consist of: Facial Beauty 9.5 to 10.5 points; Overall Appearance 9.5 to 10.5 points; Personality for girls 0-3 years 9.5 to 10.5 points; Poise/Projection for girls 4 years & up 9.5 to 10.5 points. There is a 90 second time limit.
National Optional Events
Awards will consist of Beautiful Crowns, Rhinestone Scepters, Embroidered Gifts and More!
Casualwear or Swimsuit: You may wear 1 or 2 piece suits. Coverups are optional. Music will be provided.
1950’s Wear or Outfit of Choice : Poodle Skirts, Saddle Oxford’s, Bobbie Socks, BE CREATIVE! Your choice of modeling . You may bring your own music, track labelled. No cassette tapes and no props.
Color Photogenic: You may enter photos up to an 8.5” x 11” in color. Photo retouching is allowed.
Black & White Photogenic: You may enter photos up to an 8.5” x 11” in black & white. Photo retouching is allowed.
Natural Photogenic: You may enter photos up to an 8.5” x 11” in color or black and white. Photo retouching is NOT allowed.
Composite: You may enter a photo collage consisting of 4-7 photos. This collage may be up to an 8.5” x 11” in size; in coloror black &white. Retouching is allowed.
Portfolio: Enter 6-12 of your favorite photos in an album. If you have more than 12 photos, you will be charged for an additional portfolio for $30.
Pageant Fundraisers and Discounts
We have several programs to help contestants pay entry fees, hotel and travel expenses, clothing expenses, etc. Please contact home office for further assistance.
1. Raffle tickets: home office will provide you with $2 raffle tickets for the drawing of a Home Interior gift basket (value $100). All tickets must be turned in by pageant deadline. Contestants earn 75% of all sales.
2. Sponsors : You may find sponsors very easily among family, friends, and local businesses. Sponsors’ donations are tax ductible as an advertising expense for their business. Most organizations sponsor young women who are a positive reflection f their community. Receipts will be provided for sponsors from Dream Dolls home office upon request.
3. Preliminary Pageants and Photo Contests: look for upcoming events held by Dream Dolls which will be awarding all contestants their Grand Supreme Package Paid to compete in the National pageant.
4. Referrals: Refer 3 friends and receive your Grand Supreme Package free! For each additional referral, you can deduct $25 from your entry fees. Eligible referrals are any contestant who has not participated in a Dream Dolls National pageant.
Tentative Schedule
Friday, August 15th Registration 5pm to 11pm. You can pre-register by paying in full by Aug. 13.
Please call if you cannot make these registration time so we can make a special arrangement for you. You will be asked to provide your hotel room number at registration. Turn in all photos, pay all balances due, and purchase extra badges.
Saturday August 16th Beauty is first, followed by swimsuit then outfit of choice. Ages 0-3 begin at 8:30am, ages 4-8 begin at 1:30pm and ages 9 & up begin at 4pm. Schedule is subject to change and will be posted at registration.
Saturday evening- Royalty Ball!
Sunday August 17th Crowning of 2008 Dream Dolls National Royalty at 10am
* We will advise you of exact times at registration. Line up will be first for each event.
*Door badges: Must be WORN at all times. Do not attempt to enter the ballroom with out your badge.
Sock Hop Royalty Ball Returning Royalty will be escorted to a fabulous restaurant by limousine where they will be treated to a al fit for a Queen. Afterwards, a special Sock Hop/Royalty Ball will held featuring a huge buffet of chocolates, desserts and more! La Belle Fille will provide exciting FIFTIES DJ music and laser light show. Your entire family is invited to attend! Reigning queens will be relinquishing their titles at this time.
